Went for an overseas day trip today at Mareeshia! Opps.. Tats the romanji spelling in Jap. It should be Malaysia in ENGLISH. To be precise, together with Da Su Dong, we 'swimmed' our way across the causeway to Johor Bahru. IKAS SWIM. xD

The last time I visited JB was 4 years ago! The journey from SG to JB is so much safer now, and the transition is also in a much more conducive environment than in the past. The previous wary and conscious look against suscipicious motorcylists and potential robbers.. I guess it's not so scary anymore. (:

We left SG at about 11+am and took a bus over. Arrived City Square at about 1pm. The jam at the causeway was really, horrendous.. We watched the bus crawled along the road like a snail for at least half an hour when the vehicle was just a short distance away from the Customs.

At City Square, we walked, shopped and ate! Of course.. =.=

The major things which we ate

Lunch at this Japanese restaurant, Japanese Curry Rice with Karaage Chicken.

Didn't conduct any major shopping spree today. Merely bought one polo tee plus a pair of white sneakers. (:

All in all, we spent about SG$110 today but we purchased a total of 2 polo tees, 1 pair of guy's bottom, 2 pairs of sneakers. And we had 2 yummilicious meals there. Super duper worth it. Wahahass..

And I must say, the long-awaited stone grill there is really nice. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED by the IKAS. I think I'm going to eat there the next time I'm going JB again.. Or rather, eat there everytime I go there. =X We left City Square shortly after our dinner at 7+pm. Amazingly, no jam at the causeway!

After today, my negative opinion of JB has somehow changed. I dun mind travelling there often for a relaxing weekend. Hohoss. A new haunt has been found by the ikas, yet again. xD
